Weekend break
Sept 22nd has finally arrived, and with it, the temperature has started to warm up significantly, bringing a welcome change to the weather after a long stretch of cooler days. This particular weekend is especially exciting as it marks another bank holiday weekend, providing an excellent opportunity for a mini getaway. As it happens, we are also celebrating Diane birthday which adds an extra layer of joy to the occasion. To kick off the festivities, we decided to visit a Chinese restaurant located in Vannes, where we indulged in an array of delicious dishes, each bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was lively, filled with laughter and the clinking of chopsticks, making it the perfect setting for a birthday celebration.
After our delightful meal, we set off towards Trohennec in our trusty camper van, eager to spend a few days unwinding and enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds us. The journey to Trohennec is always a picturesque one, with scenic views that make the drive as enjoyable as the destination itself. Once we arrived, we quickly settled into our cozy camper, which serves as our home away from home. The tranquility of the area is palpable, and we couldn't wait to explore the nearby coastline.
During our stay, we dedicated a significant amount of time to relaxing and immersing ourselves in the serene environment. One of our favorite activities was taking photographs of the local seabirds that inhabit the area. The variety of species we encountered was astonishing; from majestic gulls soaring overhead to smaller, colorful birds flitting about the rocky outcrops. Each sighting was an opportunity to capture the beauty of nature through our lenses, and we spent hours wandering along the shore, pausing frequently to snap pictures of these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. The sound of the sea
gently lapping against the rocks provided a soothing soundtrack to our adventure, enhancing the overall experience and allowing us to truly appreciate the peacefulness of our surroundings.
As the sun began to set each evening, casting a warm golden glow over the landscape, we would gather outside the camper to share stories and reflect on the day's experiences. The combination of good food, great company, and the breathtaking beauty of Trohennec made for an unforgettable bank holiday weekend, filled with laughter, exploration, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
